I used the Real Techniques brush set when I did this look and even though they're small (or maybe I just have a big face, lol) the more I use them, the more I like them. My review of them is here.

  1. That Viva Glam Gaga 2 looks great on you! I've been a little hesitant about getting it, but now seeing your pic has convinced me I can rock it too!

  3. I have mixed feelings about Gaga 2: On its own, its way too light and ashy on me, but with chestnut lip pencil added I really like the finished result. However its a bit of work to get the 2 blended together just right. Why is it so hard to find a flattering nude lippie :(

  7. Thanks Ladies!

@Ms Viva Glam, I love Sweet & Punchy, but it seems like I always forget about it, only to happily discover it again a few months later, lol.

@CocoagirlD, I think you'll like the Pixiwoo brushes, they're really, really soft and do a great job. Plus the price means you can get the whole set without bankrupting yourself, lol.

@Shahada, I used the Gaga 2 lipstick. I would have used the gloss but I was in a rush and it was lost in the bottomless pit that is my purse :)

  10. Thanks everyone!

@Bostonian, a few years ago I would've never used brighter colors, but I find the more I step out of my comfort zone, the more confidence I have.

You should give some other colors a try and see how you like it. If you don't, you can always wash it off and start again!
