This skincare line was completely new to me. While I don't have super dry skin, the Infinite Aloe slogan, "Never have dry skin again" seemed worth investigating. Plus the fact that both the scrub and moisturizer can be used on both face and body is a huge bonus in my book.

My face is both crazy oily and dry/tight if I don't use a moisturizer after cleansing. When I read the reviews on Amazon for this moisturizer a lot of people claimed it balanced out their oily-ness while hydrating the skin. This is EXACTLY what it did for me too! I've never encountered a "moisturizer" that didn't leave me looking like a shiny disco ball after applying. I don't know what kind of magical ingredients in infinite aloe are responsible for the soft, matte finish it gives my skin. If I knew what the key ingredient was, I'd buy stock in it!

The moisturizer is rich and creamy, but somehow manages to soak in completely in under 2 minutes. Seriously. I can put on my makeup right away and not worry about it "sliding" off.

The smell is pleasant and not over powering. It fades a few minutes after application.

Now on to the scrub! This definitely has a stronger, more earthy scent. It reminds me of herbs and I don't mind it at all. I was afraid to use this on my face at first. Because after all, if it's strong enough to remove the dead skin from my body, its probably too strong for the more delicate skin on my face right? Wrong.

This scrub is super rich and creamy. The exfoliating beads are surrounded by a wonderful mix of ingredients that keep them from being too harsh on the face. It left my skin feeling smooth and supple, with no visible redness or irritation.

It pperformed just as well on my body, but I prefer it more on my face.

Sometimes I can be a total sucker  for new products that claim to give me the skin of my dreams, lol. But even knowing this, I have a good feeling about the 2 new products I recently added to my skin care routine.

The Garnier's Moisture Rescue Gel I purchased because my skin needs something to really hold in moisture during the winter, and because its rated highly on MakeupAlley and I read a great review of it here (Shout out to Touching Faces with Beauty and Glamour! )

Not long after that, I stumbled upon the Loreal Ideal Skin Genesis daily treatment serum which promises to give ideal skin in 4 weeks. Now I know in a month I won't have perfect skin. But I am hoping it does something to even out the texture of my skin and take away some of the dullness.

I also love the packaging of the Loreal. It looks sleek and expensive and the pump dispenses just the right amount of product. It also came with a bonus travel sized serum that I have to admit helped me make the decision to purchase it, lol (who doesn't love a freebie?).

So far I've been using each product for 6 day in the morning and before I go to bed. I'll do a proper in depth review in few weeks when I should start to notice some difference in my skin.

Every winter I start to notice small lines forming on forehead and my normally oily skin dries up into a crispy cracker like state. Last winter I used a combination of pure vitamin e oil and coconut oil at night to combat this. But this year I'm going to do something different. I happened to find the original German Nivea at my local Wal Mart and since I've read so many rave reviews about, I'm going to test it out for the next few weeks. Supposedly, the Nivea contains the same ingredients as the super pricey La Mer cream and works just as well. Now I've never used the La Mer, or heck even seen it in person and for $130.00 (per freakin OUNCE!!) I probably never will. But I'm thinking the Nivea might be pretty good.

Anyway the Nivea cream has a thick, velvety consistency. It leaves an oily sheen on my face after I've applied it but yet my face feels kinda wet, if that makes sense. I've only used it twice so far and it takes a good 15 minutes to fully absorb into my skin, so this probably isn't something I can use in the morning when I'm rushing out to school.

*Update: While this did moisturize my skin really well, it also clogged my pores and caused small clusters of pimples on my forehead and cheeks. I tried to keep using it thinking that my skin was just purging and would adjust, but after more than 3 weeks with no sign of the pimples going anywhere, I had to call it quits on Nivea :(
